Noisy Little Mouse
Well as I stated before my motor started making all kinds of noises. On top of that once it was warmed up it wouldn't hold oil pressure above 5-10psi. This could have happened because of the fan blade I blew off putting the motor out of balance, or more likely it's been powering some vehicle since 1976 and it just got tired. I was born that year and sometime even I get tired.
Here she is with all the goods attached. The only thing in this picture I'm keeping is the transfer case at the very end of that chain.
In the process I made quite a pile of parts on my workbench. Not much if any will be used for my new motor, but we shall see how deep my pocketbook can go.
In the process of pulling my drive shafts I found my front u joint was bad, rusty needle bearings everywhere, good thing to find now and not later.
